Measha Jazz takes a beloved genre and scatters its conventions through the prism of Measha Brueggergosman’s singularly omnivorous musical point of view. You'll get jazz, but you’ll also get heaping helpings of classical, blues, gospel, funk, and francophone folk and 70s easy listening. The guests of honour at this musical banquet are legendary jazz singers like Sarah Vaughan and Nina Simone, who used their classical training to shape songs of love, hope, and protest into inspiring works firmly in the jazz canon.

I’m essentially returning this album to its Source.  This is my offering.  And I offer it with joy and thanksgiving, with the humble prayer that all who fall under the sound of this album’s tracks would be prompted to SERVE OTHERS with whatever is at your fingertips.
